"Dirty" Harry's Guidelines For Hiring African Americans
Now that 'Dirty' Harry Reid's opinions of what it takes for an African American to succeed in today's job market have been revealed, maybe he will be penning a new guideline book if he loses his election bid (a very likely possibility).
Having plenty of background in penning new laws after many years in government service, he shouldn't have any problem spitting out a new 'Hiring Guidelines for Employers When Considering the African American Community' book. His views on Obama's chances of being 'hired' as our President took into consideration that Obama stood a good chance due to the fact that he was 'light skinned with no Negro dialect'. He may even get Obama to endorse the book since Obama saw Reid's remarks as 'praise' using 'inartful language', whatever that definition is supposed to mean since the word doesn't exist in Webster's dictionary.
Why shouldn't Obama bend over backwards for the man who held the Senate hostage until they gave him the 60 votes he needed to pass the Senate's version of health care? Obama owes him big time! The problem is, Reid is in deep shit back home with his own constituents for his leadership in the Senate along with his agenda.
In fact, the entire Democratic Party is in trouble in many states and stands a big chance of losing several major strongholds such as Massachusetts. That State has been a Democratic stronghold for almost four decades but Republican Scott Brown has closed the gap on Democratic hopeful Martha Coakley.
The Obama administration took yet another hit when it was reported that his billion dollar stimulus bill had NOT improved any local job improvements. Now they are modifying HOW they will be counting jobs created or 'saved' by the stimulus bill with a system that makes it impossible to track those saved or created. They will now be counting any position that stimulus money was used to cover payroll. This would even include pay raises for existing employees and pay for those who never were in jeopardy of losing their jobs. The revised counting system will now just be a matter of counting stimulus 'funded' jobs and not 'saved or created' jobs. The administration will do anything to warrant running their printing presses overtime, continuing to print money like it's going out of style. The current 10% unemployment would be closer to 17% if those who have given up looking for jobs were included.
I hope that those who voted for 'CHANGE' are getting what they hoped for. The rest of us will exercise our opinions at the voting booths in February and November.
